Our client was looking to retire into a new bungalow on land he had acquired close to their family in Cheshire. With the clients' input, we designed a single level dwelling and submitted the plans, along with supporting documentation, to the Local Authority. We achieved planning permission and proceeded to produce the technical designs to satisfy Building Regulations.
There were a number of trees on the site which may have supported protected wildlife species, so DBD Architectural Consultancy organised a tree survey, habitat and a protected species survey to accompany the planning application.
The site area has also been subjected to flooding in the past, so a flood risk assessment was carried out, with a recommendation to raise the floor slab to ensure it wouldn’t be affected by rising flood water.
The finished project shows a fabulous new home finished with an attractive Cheshire red brick.
