This project involved a Semi-detached contemporary style property occupying a small constricted plot, at the rear of main street properties in Silverdale. The plot had been sold to our client with planning permission, which required a building to be demolished. The client was a quantity surveyor and keen to project manage the development themselves, using timber frame construction. DBD Architectural Consultancy remit was to produce the construction details and submit them for Building regulations approval, based on the approved planning permission.
This was quite a tricky project to draw up due to the space constrictions on the site, we needed to allow space to physically get in to work during the construction. We worked with the client to agree the construction details, materials and method of construction.
