Barn Conversion to New Dwelling
This project involved the conversion of a series of unused builds/garages and stores to create ancillary accommodation for family and guests to a more private living space for when they visit. Extensions were made to the existing structure to provide suitable living space for two bedrooms and an open-plan living/kitchen area. The flat roof addition on the existing structure was extended and had a new traditional pitched roof added to match that of the main barn and other extension.
As the site was within Peak Park, the design and materials specific to the conversion were very important so the complete structure uses closely matching natural stone throughout with quoining details on the external walls and other stone details around each window/door opening.
