an application to build a 4-bedroom agricultural workers dwelling to support the running of the farm and provide on-site living accommodation to attend to the security and welfare of the livestock on the farm.
Key Green farm is a charity run small holding, The applicant is committed to enhancing children’s lives who have life threatening medical conditions in association with the ‘Make a Wish foundation, also the David Lewis College and Downs syndrome Society. Key Green farm charity enjoys Patronage from high profile people.
This application for on site living accommodation will enable the farm to enhance the facilities on site, to provide better monitoring of the animals welfare and security by being within sight and sound of the animals during harsh weather conditions, birthing times and to be on site if illness occurs and they need regular or constant supervision.
In addition to the charitable visits by poorly children, the farm is a working farm, although on a small scale compared to a commercial venture, the livestock and poultry are kept for breeding and sold for meat when the time is right.
The living accommodation is required for overseeing the breeding / birthing of the animals and will allow for the continued growth of livestock number and diversity of rare breeds. On site supervision is necessary for the animal’s welfare and protection.
